EDITOR’S NOTE: Following from our last issue on Transport Infrastructure, #InfrastruCaribe concludes this series with a look at Airports in the Caribbean. Information on other forms of transportation will be posted to our twitter site tomorrow. Additional information on Caribbean airports/airfields has already been posted there. Please avail yourselves of this information by visiting our site at the link below.
In this issue, we look at four airports: the Sangster’s International Airport in Jamaica, the ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago, the Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Guyana, and the Owen Roberts International Airport in the Cayman Islands. The ANR Robinson International Airport is the only new construction. All the others are extensions of existing facilities, though the Cheddi Jagan International Airport is to previously incomplete works.
