EDITOR’S NOTE: From the inception of this newsletter, #IslandsCaribbean has never dedicated an entire issue to attractions. This issue changes all that: nine attractions are included in six separate locations: The Dominican Republic, Nevis, St Eustatius, Cuba, the British Virgin Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Two attractions are mentioned for the Dominican Republic. In the headline, Puntacana Resort and Club will host the 4th running of the Corales Championship PGA TOUR Event 2021, on the Corales golf course, from 22-28 March. Second, a Visitor Centre has been opened in the iconic Los Haitises National Park.
In the Caribbean Journal’s article “Alexander Hamilton’s Forgotten Caribbean Island”, two separate locations are mentioned: the island of Nevis on which Hamilton was born; and, current research indicates he might have also spent a significant amount of time on the island of St. Eustatius.
The two remaining articles deal with five beaches in three locations. In the teleSUR article, TripAdvisor has ranked the beaches of Cayo Santa María, Cuba, second-best in the world. Finally, there is the the Virgin Islands Daily News article “4 USVI, BVI beaches take spots in Tripadvisor rankings”.
