EDITOR’S NOTE: In January, #EduCaribbean featured Caribbean educators in our edition 2021-01-14. This newsletter re-visits this subject. With regard to the University of The Bahamas (UB), their Board of Trustees has releasing a leadership profile for a new president. And, their Executive Vice President — Professor Sarim Al-Zubaidy, PhD — has been awarded the 2021 Global Engineering Humanitarian Award by Colorado Boulder’s Mortenson Center in Global Engineering.

Otherwise, teachers in Barbados have been requesting assistance from their Ministry of Education’s to cope with the pandemic and to administer online learning. While in Trinidad, independent senator and psychiatrist — Dr. Varma Deyalsingh — warned of new challenges COVID-19 has created for educators.
